Jesus in Hex (vertical)

Every item ships with a card.

The design shows five pairs of numbers and letters. The small label under them is the Message Merch™ logo.

Those pairs spell one name: Jesus.

How it spells a name

Hexadecimal, or hex, writes numbers with sixteen digits: 0 through 9, then A through F. Each pair is one letter in ASCII, the code computers use for plain text.

4A is a capital J.
65 is e.
73 is s.
75 is u.
73 is s again.

Read top to bottom, it says Jesus.

Why write his name in code

Our binary design spells the same name with ones and zeros. The hex design uses different symbols, but it spells the same letters and the same name.

The Bible says it this way: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Ways of writing change. Languages change. Machines change. He does not.

What it does not mean

It does not mean God is a computer.

It does not mean faith is a puzzle for clever people.

It is not a tech joke about religion.

It is a name, written so people stop and ask.

What to say if someone asks

Start with the name.

“It spells Jesus, in hex. Each pair is one letter.”

If they ask why:

“Hex is just another way to write the same code. However you write it, it’s the same name. The Bible says Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
